Life Directions consultants are qualified and experienced specialists with psychotherapeutic and psychoanalytical backgrounds. To maintain the highest possible standards and to fulfil the aim to 'walk our talk' each is committed to a personal programme of learning and development on an ongoing basis. The team is lead by:

Joanna Bisdee

Ph.D (Cantab), B.Sc. (Hons) First Class, M.Sc (with Merit), Ph.D (Cantab),
Joanna is an Executive Coach and a Management Development Consultant of substantial experience. She is trained in counselling, group-work, and psychotherapy. She holds EMCC Accreditation, and an M.Sc in Executive Coaching from Ashridge Management College . She has worked with over 150 organisations in private, public and not-for-profit sectors, including such well-known names as British Council, Capgemini, E'on, GlaxoSmithKline, Macmillan Cancer Support, Mars Confectionary, PepsiCo, Royal Bank of Scotland, Selfridges, Tesco, Thomson Reuters and University College London. She has helped organisations develop their own internal coaches, consultants, and facilitators, as well as offering support in setting up in-house coaching schemes. She is licensed to use a range of psychometric instruments.

Julian Greatrex

B.A, M.A, FIPD, Dip Coun.
Julian spent 19 years with BP, culminating in the role of Manager, Individual and Organisational Development, before becoming an independent consultant in 1989. His experience covers a wide range of organisations both in the UK and internationally, and he currently works as an Associate with Life Directions and is a fully accredited psychotherapist. His focus is on personal development set within an organisational context, and key areas of interest are executive mentoring, self-managed learning, team development, and large group interventions. Julian is a registered psychotherapist (UKCP) and licensed to use a range of psychometric tests.

Patricia Leon

M.A, Dip.Psych, FIPD
Patricia worked for 18 years in management development and training, before becoming an independent consultant. She moved on to specialise in leadership development and executive mentoring, and started as an Associate with Life Directions in 1992. She typically works with management consultants and senior executives, helping them achieve both work and lifestyle goals through greater personal mastery. In addition to her extensive business experience, Patricia has completed 5 years of professional training in psychotherapy, and is qualified to administer a range of psychometric instruments.

Helen Skipp

Helen has been involved in education and social services for a total of 18 years. She started her career working with special needs children, later moving on to specialise in IT. She currently works as a part-time co-ordinator for Life Directions, and is actively involved in updating and maintaining IT functions, and handling administration.

Nick Zienau

B.Sc (Econ), P.G.C.E, F.R.S.A
Nick developed his skill and insight into group dynamics and the psychology of change through his role as Director of a large unit in Central London specialising in work with disruptive adolescents. Over the past years he has run a successful consultancy facilitating organisational change within the education system and public sector. He has extensive experience as a development consultant throughout Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union, and has been a Senior Consultant within the University of Helsinki. He has worked with Life Directions for the past 14 years, as a specialist on the Consulting and Influencing programme, and work relating to cross-cultural issues in change management.
